Northwest Ohio Wedding at Saint Mary’s Church in Marion, OH
A bright, sunny day set the stage for Ceara and Nathan’s northwest Ohio wedding. Their celebration at Saint Mary’s Church in Marion, Ohio was rich in tradition and love—a beautiful reflection of the sacred commitment they made before God, their families, and friends. This is one we won’t soon forget!
But this couple didn’t stop at traditional; instead, they made the day uniquely theirs in so many fun ways!
A Sword Arch, A First “Fight,” and a Cake-Cutting Like No Other
After the ceremony, guests were treated to one of the most memorable exits we’ve seen: a military-style sword arch. The bridal party introduced the new Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson as they made their grand departure from the church. It was the perfect blend of elegance and fun, just like this couple!
The celebration continued at the beautifully restored Hardin County Armory in Kenton, Ohio, where DC Sound kept the energy high and the dance floor jumping. (If you’re looking for a great DJ team, check them out here.)
At the reception, Ceara and Nathan introduced their guests to a hilariously light-hearted “first fight” as husband and wife…with hidden toy Nerf guns! Laughter erupted as guests joined in for a playful (and perfectly harmless) battle.
Later, they cut their wedding cake with a sword—yes, a real sword.
A Family Dance to Remember
One of the most touching moments of the evening came when the bride’s family and friends took to the dance floor for a surprise family dance. Fun fact: we shot the wedding of Ceara’s sister, Trinity, several years ago, and the family broke out the moves to the Backstreet Boys then, too!
